How to Grow Bonsai Fruit Tree

- Before you set out to plant your bonsai tree, check it thoroughly for any pests or diseases. Remove the pests and the diseased parts.
- Now remove the tree from the growing pot and gently shake it. This will remove all the extra soil. You can tap it softly with your hand or on the surface.
- Saw 1/3 root ball of the tree using a handsaw. The cuts should be clean and precise.
- Wash off the remaining soil with water. After checking the roots of the plant thoroughly keep it in a bowl of water. This will prevent it from drying.
- Keeping in mind the shape you would like the

- Wrap the limbs which needs training with a copper wire. Do this very gently so as not to break the branches. Make sure you do not wrap the wire too tightly. To prevent the rubbing, place a soft rubber under the wire.
- Mix a gallon sand and small pieces of bark in a big bucket. To this add about 3 cups of garden clay and mix well. Put the required amount of fertilizer to it. Now add water to make the mixture moist and keep it aside this soil mixture.
- Cover the drain hole with piece of screen. This will stop the soil from getting washed away from the drain hole.
- Fill the potting pot with the soil and firmly pack the soil. Make a small soil hill little towards the edge of the pot.
- Put the bonsai on top of this soil hill. Fill the pot with the remaining soil and tap it firmly.
- Add colorful pebbles on the top of the soil. This will decorate the bonsai.
