You have a beautiful garden with lovely flowers, wonderful plants and trees, beautiful birds etc etc. The biggest challenge you face is driving away the cats.They create havoc in the garden. Jump over your flower beds; scare away the birds or are up to some or the other mischief.
Here are a few ways you could keep cats away from your garden:
- Keep a Dog at home.
- Sprinkling chilly and black pepper around the garden, is one effective way to keep them away. Though it is harmless to animals.
- Plant spiky plants like pine cone around your garden.
- Install an electric wire fence.
- Cats hate getting wet. You can use this to your advantage. Devices like a Scarecrow Sprinklers can be used.
- Cat repellent plants like Coleus Canina and chemicals like citrus can also be used to drive them away.
- Commercial scent cat repellents can also be found in few stores.
- Ultrasonic devices are available in the markets which emit a high frequency sound which is not audible to human but can be very annoying to cats(dogs also).
- Exposed ground shoud be covered with rough surfaced rocks.
- A sandbox would be an very attractive place for cats to do their thing. You can make an artificial one just outside your house.
These are few effective ways which can be followed to keep cats away from your garden.
