Gardening does not mean that you always have to toil to make your garden perfect and keep it healthy. Below are some quick tips to be a successful gardener.
- You can vinegar as an herbicide. Household vinegar or any other concentrations of acetic acid is very effective in killing weeds. Using vinegar as a weed killer is an organic, environmentally safe way to control the unwanted weeds in the garden premises. It is cost effective also.
- If you are a very serious tomato grower then you can use red plastic mulch to improve the tomato yield and to have the tomatoes ripen fast.
- There are some herbs like oregano, thyme and sage that can build up the woody stems as they age. The lushness of the plant decreases with the time. So you can prune the growing herbs to retain and improve the vigor of the plants.
- There is no such kind of rule that implies flowers and vegetables can’t be mixed together. Actually, if you add some flower plants and herbs in your vegetable garden then it would be extremely beneficial for your vegetable garden also.
- To pull the weeds out from your garden, the better idea is to prevent the weeds from being spread. So just try to check that whether the weed is perennial or annual. If it’s annual then it will die in that season only but if it’s perennial then you need not allow it grow.

These are some great simple and easy tips that can really help improve and maintain your garden. Alot of people belive that you cant mix both vegetables and flowers together where as you can. The only thing to remember is make sure the vegetable you do mix in with your flower do not require digging up.
