- The best time to water your plants is during the morning. If you water your plants during the evening or night may promote diseases.
- Soak the soil thoroughly to help water reach the root zone.
- Water your annual plants more often that your perennial plants.
- Do not wet your entire plant, water left on the foliage can disease the plant.
- Make sure you do not over-water your plants as it will turn soil into mud.
- When the mud dries it hardens and damages the root system and development of the plant.
- Over watering may also result in loss of foliage, disease and even death of the plant.
