- Once you have decided on which pesticide to use, review the contents of the pesticide and chose the one with least toxicity.
- Read the label of your pesticide bottle carefully for the information like – what problems it controls; what plants it is safe to use on; and any other pertinent information.
- Go by the instructions on the label for safety’s sake.
- Mix only enough pesticide to complete the application.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves as pesticides can be readily absorbed through skin and harm your body.
- Chose to spray your plant with pesticides at a place that is well ventilated.
- Spray the pesticide over your plant thoroughly, especially over the tops and bottoms of the leaves and young growing tips.
- Repeat the spraying process 3 times a month with a gap of 10 days to kill the insects that hatch out after earlier sprayings.
- After use, tightly seal the pesticide bottle and store in a clean, dry, dark and ventilated place.
- Make sure it is out of reach of children and animals.
- If you have finished the entire pesticide from the bottle. Dispose the bottles as directed on the label.
